Don’t you just love the feeling of using your brand new mascara, the smooth plentiful sweeps makes your application so much easier. Unfortunately a good thing never lasts as long as you’d like, as after a few uses, you start to notice the formula becoming thicker and clumpier, resulting in your lashes not receiving the even coating they deserve 🙁 A quick fix for this unavoidable issue, which will also save you purchasing a whole new mascara is to pour a couple of eye drops into your mascara tube. Start of with three or four drops and apply more until you are happy with the consistency. The reason for your mascara drying up is because every time you pull your mascara brush in and out of the tube you are introducing air inside resulting in your mascara becoming drier and drier. So keep in mind, the more you pump that brush in and out (thinking you will be picking up more product) the more air you are pushing inside and the faster your mascara will dry up. Try inserting the mascara brush and swirling it around the inside of the tube in a circular motion instead of pumping the brush. I hope this helps all you mascara addicts.. Please girls, heed my warnings, I have applied makeup to countless clients and surprisingly a huge amount of women fail to remove old mascara before applying a fresh coat. They apply layers upon layers (some looking like the “God no” picture above) so make sure you remove all old mascara and start fresh with your new application. (“yes please”)
